Tim Buono

Tim Buono joined TD as a Partner in 1997 and has 17 years of experience in health care venture investing and operations in venture-backed health care companies. He is particularly skilled in financial review, deal development and negotiation, industry consolidations, strategic planning and exits. Tim is active in the Firm's investment review and analysis process and is involved in the development and execution of portfolio company strategy, with a particular focus in health care services and medical devices.

He began his career at TD as an associate in 1990 and subsequently became director of mergers and acquisitions for a TD portfolio company. From 1994 to 1997, Tim served as a senior officer for an early-stage health care services company with primary responsibility for its strategic development, building the company's revenue from zero to $200 million.

Tim serves on the boards of several private companies and leads the firm's efforts to identify and facilitate strategic relationships among portfolio companies. He graduated from Connecticut College with a BA in Economics.
